Start with your gel or gel polish, not the highest wattage

List the products you use and check their instructions for the required lamp, layer thickness and curing time. A UV/LED label does not mean that every gel can be used with every lamp. Matching stated wavelengths alone do not confirm that a particular combination is suitable either.

Which model fits your workspace?

For a fixed table with a power socket available: include the X13 Plus in your comparison when you need an adapter-powered model with an automatic sensor and removable base. Check the space available: its stated dimensions are 21 × 21.5 × 9 cm. Allow additional room for cables and positioning the hand.

For a workspace where you need to use the lamp without a connected cable: the X22 has a built-in battery, enabling cordless lamp operation. Battery capacity alone does not tell you how many treatments you can carry out on one charge. Plan charging according to the manual rather than assuming an unspecified runtime.

For both manicure and pedicure: both models have a removable magnetic base. Also compare hand or foot positioning, access to the controls and cleaning instructions. A removable base does not automatically make a lamp suitable for every working method or product.

Understanding timer settings and Low Heat Mode

A timer setting is a control option, not a universal treatment protocol. The X13 Plus has a 99-second Low Heat setting, while the X22 has a 120-second setting. Use them only as directed by the lamp and nail product instructions. Low Heat increases the power gradually; it does not guarantee that heat or discomfort will be absent.

The X13 Plus also has a separate red-light function called Whitening Mode. Do not confuse this with curing gel or gel polish. Do not base your choice on an assumed protective or skin-rejuvenating effect of that function.

A single lamp or equipment for a manicure workstation?
