Measuring salon furniture: leave room for your work stool
- 1 min reading time
For a new stool for a salon, don't just measure the place where it is parked. You also need space to slide, turn and move backwards. Therefore, first draw the existing chair, table and walking route. Then compare the seat height of the stool with the working height required by your setup.
A product example from the range
Hairdressing stool Gabbiano D032 gray-beige
- The Gabbiano D032 has a saddle-shaped seat and a height range of 56–77 cm.
- The base has five legs; the Roll Speed wheels have a PU coating.
- The upholstery is synthetic leather in gray-beige tones.
What does this mean for your choice?
Use this model as a concrete point of comparison: the height range tells something different than the total width of the base. Record both data separately. A height that suits your table says nothing about the free passage between two workstations. For the other sizes, view the product information and request missing dimensions before ordering.
Your checklist before buying
- Mark the location of the base and the space to roll backwards.
- Compare the lowest and highest seating positions with your existing work table.
- Control the route to storage space without blocking another workplace.
