Description
Form Me Up: keratin waving and neutralisation
Create professional waves, curls, texture and volume with two complementary Form Me Up products. This set contains Keratin Waving Spray 200 ml and Neutralizer Texturizer 500 ml. The spray is used during reshaping, followed by the neutralisation stage. Hair condition, roller selection, winding technique and carefully controlled processing time all influence the result.
Two products with different roles
The waving spray contains cysteamine, hydrolysed keratin, botanical extracts and nourishing oils. It is intended for professional work on suitable short natural or colour-treated hair, including Push-Up techniques for root volume. The neutraliser has a stabilised acidic pH. It is applied after the waving solution has been rinsed out and supports the neutralisation of alkaline residues, completion of the curl-forming stage and a conditioned, glossy finish.
Assess suitability before treatment
This perm is not intended for bleached or severely damaged hair. Begin with a consultation and a wet strand test. Do not proceed if the hair shrinks excessively or breaks when stretched. The product instructions specify an allergy test 24 hours beforehand and immediate rinsing with lukewarm water if a reaction occurs.
The listed exclusions include severely damaged or overprocessed hair, bleaching, henna, colouring within seven days before treatment and previous permanent straightening, including keratin, nanoplasty and protein straightening. The instructions also list the first and third trimesters of pregnancy, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and other intensive medical treatment. Include these points in the professional suitability assessment.
Key stages of the professional protocol
Shampoo twice with Form Me Up shampoo, using appropriate deep cleansing when product buildup is present. Towel-dry, section and wind the hair using end papers. Moisten the rollers with a water mist before applying the waving spray. Protect the hairline with cotton strips and use the cap as directed.
Check the curl after ten minutes and subsequently at fifteen minutes as appropriate, while respecting the limit for the hair type. Natural hair: 10–20 minutes. Coloured hair: 10–12 minutes, with a maximum of 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water for 5–10 minutes without removing the rollers, thoroughly blot excess water with a towel, then gently dry the rollers with lukewarm air for five minutes.
Apply neutraliser to each roller, starting at the back of the head, and process for five minutes. Remove the rollers carefully, apply a small additional amount of neutraliser, gently scrunch the curls and leave for a further three minutes.
The subsequent protocol requires Perm Active acidifying shampoo and mask. Leave the Perm Active mask for 10–15 minutes, then rinse. Finish as instructed with Form Me Up 10 in 1 and Curl Power, using a diffuser with lukewarm airflow. For subsequent home styling, use cooler airflow or allow natural drying. These additional products and tools are supplied separately. Do not wash the hair for 72 hours after treatment and wait seven days before colouring. Continue with the recommended curl aftercare.
